What’s On

After two years of break due to the pandemic, this year Easy Italian will sponsor again a team to run the 10k Race for Life in Cambridge on Sunday 3rd of July. We want to continue to give our contribution to help the research to beat cancer. This is such an important cause, as cancer has maybe affected ourselves or someone near us, so in one way or another it is or has been part of our lives.

If you want to be part of the Easy Italian team we’d love to hear from you.

If you want to give your contribution, we’d be very grateful, this is the LINK to our fundraising page.

Saturdays 12.10 – 13.00, LEVEL 2 (intermediate and advanced)

For the coming school year, 2021-22, we will continue to run ONLINE our children groups.
Since all our children groups are fully booked, we have now opened another course to give more children the opportunity to do this great learning experience.

The new group is for children who can speak Italian quite confidently and it will run on Saturdays, term time only, from 2nd October at 12.10, until 13.00.

The course will be delivered via Zoom and is suitable for primary school children from Reception to Year 6. To maximise the effectiveness of the lessons we will keep the group small. The aim of the course is to improve children’s language skills (speaking, writing and reading in Italian).

There will be 10 sessions per term. Each session is a separate module, so it won’t be a problem if your child misses a session because every time we’ll have a brand new topic. Each child will be asked to explore the topic according to age and language level. There will also be some homework for a bit of extra practice between sessions.

The course fee is £7 per session. The enrolment is for the whole term (£70).

Please contact us to enrol your child and don’t hesitate to e-mail us any questions.

New Online Course For Children

Play Italian was founded by Martina: she’s been a long-time supporter of Easy Italian and her daughter Chiara has been attending our weekly classes for some time.

Martina developed Play Italian with the idea of having fun as you learn.  Specifically learning Italian as you play with puzzles and games (enigmistica).

Pop over to playitalian.com and have a look at the free puzzles and games: word searches, crosswords, word matches, word scrambles, cryptograms.

Martina also published two books of Italian Puzzles and she has a shop with t-shirts and merchandise for lovers of Italy, Italian culture and language.

Orange and Polenta Cake

In Northern Italy, cornflour is traditionally used to make POLENTA. Polenta has its roots in peasant cuisine, and is made using only three ingredients: corn flour, water and salt. It has a rich yellow, yolk-like colour, and a slightly sweet flavour. Polenta can be cooked to be creamy and thick, or allowed to set and…
